Progressive Motor Assist

Progressive Motor Assist is a complimentary roadside breakdown and accident assistance program provided to our policyholders on a 24-hour x 7 days basis.

24-Hour Accident and Breakdown Towing Services
  •  24-hour call assistance, breakdown assistance, minor on-the-spot repairs, accident services and other services throughout Malaysia with free towing up to RM200 only per incident.

Free towing and/or minor on-the-spot repairs is UNLIMITED incidents per Policyholder during the one (1) year duration of Insurance.

Towing shall only be provided for each breakdown (i.e. towing the Qualified Vehicle from the breakdown site to a registered workshop) and if towing fee exceed RM200, the extra will need to be paid by policyholder

24-Hour Roadside Assistance
Breakdown assistance, minor on-the-spot repairs and accident services shall include:

  • Jump-starting
  • Changing of tyres (using spare tyre from the Qualified Vehicle);
  • Providing petrol (Policyholder shall bear the cost of petrol);
  •  Replacement of battery provided the model and type of battery is available at the relevant time (Policyholder shall bear the cost of the replacement battery); and
  •  Advice on the necessary steps and procedures to be taken by Policyholder in the event of an accident.
What are not covered under the Roadside Assistance Program
The followings are NOT covered under the Roadside Assistance Program:

  • Costs for spare parts or petrol supplied;
  • Taxi fare, accommodation, telephone and toll charges;
  • Costs for engaging a locksmith to unlock the Qualified Vehicle; and
  • Costs of services that are covered by a motor policy; and
  •  Qualified vehicles loaded with goods may make an agreement to transfer and transport the goods at a fee/charge prescribed by Roadside Assistance Provider
  •  Any cost incurred for any service NOT arranged by Roadside Assistance Provider
  • Towing from workshop to workshop

What To Do in The Event of a Breakdown?
When assistance is required in the event of a breakdown, Policyholder should:

  • Call Progressive Motor Assist call centre at toll-free line 1-800-888-928
  • Inform the call centre operator of your name, car registration number, model of car, location and nature of breakdown; and
  • Person seeking assistance must be present at breakdown site.
Applicable to:
Policyholders who purchase the following Motor insurance:

  • Comprehensive Private Car
  • Comprehensive Commercial A or C Permit with tonnage 7.5 tons and below only
